Magic Realism Maybe I should entitle this post "What Magic Realism Means to Me". To me magic realism is magic that could really happen or does really happen in our every day lives. I was doing research on the world's smallest fruit. Duckweed/Wolffia Globosa 5,000 of these little fruit fill a thimble. Well, maybe 5,001.. or 2. Sounds like shades of Harry Potter to me. Wasn't that something they needed in a potion? I have found stories of herbs that will let you fly, become invisible, and many other things. I do not necessarily believe all of these. I do know there are seeds that will poison you. Seeds that make you feel better. Vitamin C, etc. So what I am looking for in my story is magic that I can relate to. It is not easy for me to relate to being invisible. I can relate to being camouflaged. So I write about my pigmentation changing colors and blending in with my environment. To a human that might seem I am becoming invisible. A human

I Believe in Magic I think everyone who writes about magic must somewhere in their secret hearts believe to a certain extent.
